Daddy Can't Hear You..
I rarely promote blogs or anything... (dripping with sarcasm)
But there is a blog that just kind of started and I want to tell ya about it.
It's Daddy Can't Hear You... and I'm proud to say that I kinda came up with that name. It was a glitch in my mind I'm sure but either way...
He is a dad that tells his view point of raising his children and being married while also being deaf.
It's very interesting. He has a "Deaf P.O.V." series where he writes his point of view of daily things that we kinda take for granted, and a "Say What" series where he writes how sometimes he misinterprets while reading people's lips.
He also answers any questions you might have for him. Here is a post he wrote to answer my question on how he communicates with his girls...
"I will tell you this...it was very frustrating for me to try to understand what my daughters were saying as they went through their babbling stage and their mispronounciation of words stage. What most people don't realize is how equally frustrating it can be for them when their daddy cannot comprehend what is being said to him.So you should go check him out and follow.
You could be thinking "What about his hearing wife?" Yes, she does step in and help clear up the chaotic messages...when she is there. She has a job so she can't be there 24/7. Now, you can see how frustrating it can be for all of us."
That's all. Carry on.

Me and a country song

All I'm asking for is to be the star subject of a country song… or have a country song written about me.
Let me just say I love romance, or the IDEA of romance. I do (I may react silly when someone 'hubs' tries to be romantic because I am just not USE to it… but I bet I could get over that quickly… I think…) and what better way to be romantic then have a SONG written about you?
That is why I love country so much. You have these portrayed GUYS GUYS--(cause hello they're country boys and country boys are tough-don't let Brokeback fool you) talking about how they love or what they love about the women they choose.
It's melting to the heart and I swoon and drift off to fantasy land everytime I hear one of those special songs.
Sigh.
I understand it's really rare to find a Guys guy that is also truly romantic-or naturally romantic.
But is it TOO much to ask that I be the subject of a romantic country song? I say NAY!
Like "Good Morning Beautiful" (I might have to wake up every morning before the guy ever does and brush my hair and teeth and apply just a layer of mascara and pinch my cheeks and lips for that natural rosy color so that when he wakes up he THINKS I'm beautiful--instead of the monster my husband has to wake up to every morning and FORGET about kissing--if neither of us pops a tic tac before we turn to look at each other in the morning, neither of us is talkin or getting ANYTHING-if you catch my drift)
...or "Little Moments" where my hubs just laughs at all the scatter brained crap I do. I mean… he can pretend it doesn't frustrate him right? Like saying "oops" after "bumping" into something with a brand new car is way cute and hot right? It's at the point where he puts bets up about how long it will be before I dent or scratch our car somehow. Sigh.
…or "Invisible" where my hubs falls in love with me all over again just by watching me just be being naturally and simply me? (nice thought right?) Like when I'm singing out loud-off key in the van… or when I dance alone in my room because I still wish I was 21 again and dancing everyday? Or picking my dry boogs from my nose--but in a cute way--because those things will irritate me until I die from irritation!?
…or "I Want to be your Everything" come on now! Who did he write that for??? Gah! Lucky girl.
I'm just sayin… it isn't so much to ask is it?
So whomever would like to get on top of that right away and write a country song where I'm the star/subject, that'd be great!
1) all about me
2) all about me and how cute all my quirks are that are really irritating but of course not to you because you could never think any of my quirks were irritating.
3) all about me and how you couldn't look at another girl ever again because I'm perfect and it would just boggle your mind to NOT think of me.
4) all about me and how you couldn't live without me.
5) all about me.
Of course add your own creativity into it-just don't waiver to much from my guidelines...
I'm okay if you're a girl and you want to write a song about me also just make sure your voice is husky… it will ruin the effect if not.
Okay… over and out. Get to work.

Random Thoughts-it's been a while we are due.
It's been a while since I had Random Thought anything.
But I'm feeling like we are due a Random Thought post. Just remember. After reading this you are required asked to put your random thoughts in my comment box. Some times I make you famous by posting them on twitter! Your. Welcome.
Okay--
*My kids flew up with Grandma and Grandpa to their cousins. MSM and I have three whole days together just to ourselves. We have two VERY different idea on how we want to spend this time together.
MSM--He wants our house to now be a Nudist Colony. That's right. He wants to do everything with our clothes off. He wants to cook naked, watch TV naked, eat naked, sleep naked, play games naked, and do something I cannot discuss on my PG (sometimes PG-13) rated blog but he wants to do IT everywhere and you guessed it--NAKED, and etc... AAACCCKKK!!!
ME--Have a READ-A-THON!!! Go to the library and find a bunch of books, at least 10, buy a bunch of treats, and curl up, totally clothed (big sweatshirt and lounge pants) with a snuggie or down blanket, on our King Size Bed--him on one side, me on the either--and read. Read, rEaD, READ!!! Order in for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. After finishing a book discussing our ONE favorite part before we begin our next book.
My idea is totally better!
Okay. That's it. I think I better stop with my Random Thoughts and just make it a Random THOUGHT. Because I think I've shocked some of you by saying the word naked and I apologize.
FTR--we compromised. We read a children's book naked with pictures while doing IT.
HA! I kid, I kid.
We've been out to stores, seen a movie, eaten out a few times, cooked and eaten in a few times. Picked up and left somewhere just because we COULD, watched OUR shows during the day (caught up on DVR shows we've missed because DISNEY and NICK seem to have precedence in our house) went out with ADULTS for ice cream and talked about ADULT stuff!!! We've shopped at stores without kids hanging on our hands or crawling around in carts saying, "MOM! I need this!" or "MOM-DAD-so and so is touching me". We get to listen to the music in the car that WE want to listen to.
Just a few things.
We might even go crazy tonight and he's going to work on homework and I'm going to edit pictures... UNINTERRUPTED!!!
That's right... you heard it here first guys. I'll let you know how that goes.
Now leave your Random Thought or THOUGHTS in my comment box and maybe I'll TWITTER IT! YAY!
Love,

P.S. On more thought I just thought of. When you want to sound excited do you write--YAY, YEA, or YEAH? Let me know.
P.S.S. Over at Real World we are talking about homework. How does that relate to a relationship you ask? Go over and see!!!

You guys are Debbie Downer's for Valentine's for real!
So I LOVE valentines day.
Plus all you all are saying you hate it... and let's just say... I could never hate it.
And we need some positive light shed on this lovely day.
WHy is it so bad to think about love or romance or anything like that? It's not that bad of a deal. Everyone loves SOMEONE right? Best friend, family, lover, spouse... whatever.
But that isn't really why I love Valentine's Day. Nor is the fact that I L-O-V-E Romantic Comedies that roll out around this time of year...
Sidenote: I should mention here that my hubs kinda has it bad. We have our Anniversary, Valentine's, and well another special day where someone gets one year more mature! :) And so ROMANTICALLY Valentine's day get's thrown in the wash... come to think of it... all three usually do, but attempts are made at the Anniversary and the OTHER one... but not Valentines... except for the one Valentine's where I totally got a love letter. I kid you not! I might have screamed and cried and begged for it. But it was one of the most beautiful things ever received EVER in my life and I still have it to this day folded up in my scriptures. True Story. WORDS the written word... goes a long way for me. I married someone that hates to write... go figure.
But I love Valentine's mostly because of the candy and baked goods.
It's true. My love of holidays falls in order and priority of what candy and baked goods gets dished out that time of year.
For instance:
THese lovely Little Debbie treats are bought by the 10's and in WareHouse amounts at my house.
and then there is Rocky Mountain Caramel Chococlates. They are served year round, but we only get them this time of year.
And the Conversation Hearts. I LOVE them... especially the old ones, not the new sweet tart ones but the older ones... yum.
And SOUR balls.
And Heart shaped Reese's Peanut Butter things.
And cinnamon hearts.
And cinnamon anything.
and...and...and...
Red is one of my most favorite colors. Plus I look mostly good in it. Well I did with my brunette hair.
I don't know.
Just doesn't seem like a bad day to me.
Plus... I'm going to teach my kids how to put a Valentine's on a fishing pole string and go knock on their friends doors and we run and hide and when their friends answer the door and go to pick it up we are going to slowly reel it in to keep it out of their reach... and then drop on the ground and roll around laughing and pointing our fingers!
OH first challenge is up at BLOGVIVOR... I have to write a poem... I SUCK AT POEMS. Secretly pass me your creative poems and if I win you get half the loot! I'll be posting about the challenge as soon as I make what it says I'm suppose to make (a Valentine)... Scissors... glue...sniffing glue... should be a blast. I'm going to VLOG most of my entries... I bet you guys are SUPER stoked about it also!
Later, Have a good or sucky Valentine's day...depending on your view!

I'm the best actress EVER!
I should have taken up acting.
No really.
Lately I have noticed that I must be an extremely good actress.
This is why.
I'm kinda everywhere lately because I always am doing way to much. But only because the stuff I LOVE to do and makes me happy, keeps me busy. So I'm okay with being busy, the only problem is, my brain seems to attach itself to Shelle-is-to-busy-little-sleep-attention-deficit-disorder or SITBLSADD.
My mind tends to easily wander off. Unless I'm focusing on a project or my hands are doing something, I tend to lose focus. And what I mean is, if I'm just conversing with someone I'm either going to A) cut you off and start a random thought, or B) say "uh huh" in the right place, but really I'm not listening to you.
So how does this correlate with me being a great actress you ask?
Because the last few times I have had a moment to sit and talk with an adult, I haven't paid attention to the conversation for longer than 8.2 seconds, YET it's like the other person has NO clue. They just keep talking away.
It's a beautiful thing really.
In fact, I thought about this while in the midst of my last adult conversation.
I sat there, put my replies to "uh huh" on auto robot, and thought while they were talking about who KNOWS what, "I'm the best actress ever! They have no idea that I'm not paying attention to them. In fact, I'm surprised they can't tell? Usually my face is like a book... I should look like a blank wall right now? Interesting... oh she smiled, I should smile back" so I smile, then I continue, "I should blog about this and tell everyone how cool I am? Maybe it will come off the wrong way, like I'm being mean... but I'm NOT being mean, I can't really help it right now. Maybe it's the cold medicine... yea that's it, that's what I will blame it on... oh she laughed, I should laugh also" so I laugh.
And on and on it went for about 45 minutes!
I should be appalled at myself. And you guys will probably thing I'm a prick just writing this post. Normally I would agree that this is horrible and normally I'm actually a great listener.
But I'm actually quite impressed.
I'm blaming it on the cold medicine though ;)
If you have a funny Halloween date story or couple story that you would like to share with the blog world email me at blokthoughts @ gmail dot com and let me know. Over at Real World Venus vs. Mars the week of Halloween is all about the stories! :)

Your blog is SO confusing!
I was at Target last night and ran into an old friend... Laura... love her.
Anyway, first thing she says after HI is... YOU ARE SO CONFUSING on your blog!
Laura(waves had vigorously! So glad to see you tonight).. this is for you and all of you that just happen on my blog...
Sometimes I don't even get MYSELF... those that comment do it because they feel sorry for me... :) My cousin once said, "Yes Shelle, I read your blog, I'm beginning to understand Shelle-ese!" Not a truer statement was ever said... (bows head)
But I actually have friends in Real Life... and sometimes those Real Friends give me a break and let me snap away at their kids. I LOVE when they let me do that.
Sometimes I get lucky and get that shot that makes my belly flutter and my smile get wider!!! I get THAT shot.
Seriously... look at how adorable this little guy is... GAH I love what I do!
So question--Does it trip anyone else out that people you know in REAL life actually read your blog???

Girl whose name I can't remember
Okay I need your guys' expert opinions... or better yet, your help.
I went to a family reunion this weekend for my husbands side of the family.
We had to DRIVE there.
I know, you can all feel bad for me. We could have hopped on a plane and flew to LA twice, for the time it took to get to the reunion... but whose counting.
Anyway... on our drive we had to stop at a gas station because one of the kids, DCAR, was a pansy and said he couldn't hold it another hour and a half!!! I'm failing as a mother.
SO... we stop at a Gas station that has a Dairy Queen, because I needed it and I walk into the bathroom and see someone I recognize.
Now the emphasis is on RECOGNIZE... okay? I knew by her face that I knew her... but I'm HORRIBLE with names.
No, like I suck at remembering names. I would have been a TERRIBLE teacher... when I taught dance, by the end of the year I finally got all their names down just for it to be done and then I would get new students to have to remember...
Anyway... I see her and it's too late not to say anything because I saw that "Hey I know you" spark in her eye... so I had to see this through.
Me: "HHHHEEEEEYYYY" cause it's so much more convincing that you KNOW them if you drag out the HEY like Fonz... "how are YOU doing?" I say with a 'I totally know you' smile.
Girl whose name I don't remember: "Hi SHELLE! Wow! How are you? What have you been up to?"
Me: "Just kids, and husband going to school, and work... ya know, LIFE! What about you?" hahaha-awkward laugh.
Girl whose name I don't remember proceeds to tell me what she has been up to.
I nod when appropriate.
Then we both go into our respective stalls to go to the bathroom.
I figure I'm in the clear cause I wait for her to finish, and I feel, give her ample time to wash her hands and leave.
So imagine my surprise, when I get out of the stall and open the door and proceed to the sinks, to see that she was standing there WAITING for me to continue our conversation.
I was good, no need to say her name, even though... she knew mine RIGHT out of the gate... we walk out and the GODS were against me, because who was there to greet me but my husband and kids who were standing in the DQ line.
Girl whose name I don't remember: "OH! Is this your family?"
Me: "Yes. This is Dcar and Peeps and my Husband MSM... guys this is..." awkward silence... "this is a friend from school!"
They say their Hi's and nice to meet you's and we separate.
Now this is where you guys come in... how do you ASK someone their name... when they already know yours... without either person feeling stupid???
PLEASE... help a sista out!
And everyone that participated in our Random Friday Thought post... OMGOSH I love you guys... I kept getting emails all weekend... each one making me laugh! I have the best blog friends EVA! Check it out if you missed it... it was hilarious! :)

If I only had a monkey...
When I was a young girl I had a friend that could climb trees like he was a monkey. He would wrap his arms and legs around the trunk and then grab and pull all the way up to the highest branch of our backyard trees.
Scared the crap out of me every time... but I envied him.
I wanted to be able to climb trees--I tried mind you, I tried, but all I could do is wrap my arms and legs around the base of the tree!!!
My Mom didn't like me to, she was scared I would get hurt or something... so my dream of tree climbing was crushed for the 1.2 seconds I dreamt it...
Then I was sent this video, go in about 5 minutes:
Which explains that I am right to blame my parents for not being a climber. If they would have done their duty and moved to Africa where I could have met a monkey that was my best friend and I followed around everywhere at the age of four, having no fear, and climbing where the monkey climbed, then my fingers would have developed into climbers fingers and I would now be a living spider woman, PLUS be in incredible body shape with 16% body fat.
I've never even been wall climbing... unless you count the one at the playground that is only a foot taller than me... I seriously smoke all the kids when we race on that one, and I free climb, meaning NO ropes for all you amateur play ground climbers.
So now that I am a parent... I feel it is my duty to live vicariously through my children... so I'm off to Africa to find a monkey...
Okay I kid... I kid...
But seriously, anybody have a monkey they can borrow me for like 5 years??? My daughter just turned four and I want her to have what I never did...
Love,
Seriously though... isn't that amazing!!! Had to share cause that's what I do. :)
So I got a new lens...
I got a new lens this last week and so I HAD to take it out and use it right when the mail guy dropped it off because I'm mature like that.
Give me a break... you already know I have zero patience so don't act so surprised!
But go ahead and be surprised at this... when I asked my begrudgingly loyal subjects (DCar and PeePs) to go outside with me so that I could experiment with my new lens they BOTH asked me, "How long Mom? We are watching TV!" and "Do we HAVE to?" and "Why me?"
PPPPPFFFFTTTTT! Can you BELIEVE that? Who doesn't want to get their picture taken? I mean people DREAM about becoming famous and having paparazzi camera's all up in their faces, right?
I mean, that's why I would want to become famous... it would make wearing my big baggy sweats around the house a little trickier and I would DEFINITELY have to pay for a new stomach before I went out of the house with my bathing suit on... but I can't BELIEVE my kids don't want to drop what they are doing so that I can take pictures of them???
So I compromised and said, "How long? Well NOW for the rest of the day! You can RECORD the dang TV... and as long as you live under MY roof the 'Do we have to?' question is a moot point because you're kids and so the answer is always 'YES, YOU HAVE TO' try and remember that... and YOU are the lucky and chosen ones... that is WHY YOU! Now let's go before I decide to dress you up!"
My kids didn't get a lot of features from me to identify that they are mine... my husband has NO DOUBT that they are his because they look so much like him! If I didn't birth my second one, I would wonder, because she looks almost identical to her dad's side of the family.
So SUE me if I like to take pictures of the one thing that stamps them as mine... their EYES--well, more like their eye color, but whose being technical...
And don't you DARE take away my THUNDER by suggesting that the eye color could come from someone on my husband's side of the family, that it might be a RECESSIVE gene???Cause if you don't have anything nice to say... don't say ANYTHING at all! Didn't your parents teach you anything???
Well you all did awesome at the Random Comments on Friday! Sage was standing in for Kritta and Just Jules is more random then I first thought... learn something new everyday!
But April takes the cake on receiving my new honorary COMMENT of the day...which is a new feature on my site! I laugh everyday by something ONE of you says in my comment box... so I've decided that I need to start sharing your guys' wit with everybody else!
Your.Welcome.
Love,

P.S. Sage wrote a post over on Real World Venus vs. Mars about finances... who knew rednecks had money, let alone know how to be smart about using it!!! GO Check it out!

I'm BBBAAACCCKKK--but still in surgery!!! :)
I'm BACK!!!
Apparently my surgery isn't done.
I'm so undecided about things that I have been a pain in the designers(surgeons) butt... I'M SORRY!!! Apparently I have a lot more to say then I thought I did and I'm sure I'm driving her crazy.
Anyway.
I have a lot of pictures to laugh and cry, cry because I'm laughing so hard, about. Weird things happened. Even a toilet story, but HELLO, it's NEW YORK, of course I have a public restroom story.
So I am going to talk so much about my trip that you will want to VOMIT! I won't even care, I'll just keep talking and writing and talking about it.
I had a GREAT time! GREAT GREAT GREAT! And I'm actually so tired and so crazy from traveling that I'm in a good mood and happy to be home to go to work and get back to exercising. I gained like 10 pounds while in NYC... FOOD IS EXPENSIVE... can I just tell you that? So I had to stuff myself with carbs so that I could eat less and spend less on silly food!
Anyway, so much to tell you yet I have to jet off to work.
Here's somewhat of an outline:
I met ALL OF THESE ladies... OH MY GOSH the best lunch ever! I'm not even kidding... it felt like I was throwing back with old friends (not like they are old, but like we had KNOWN each other in real life for a LONG time)!!! And my Blog Twin Crash is one of the most incredibly sweet and easy to talk to people I have ever met... thank you SOOOO much for getting this lunch together! :)
You know how Crash wrote about her NYC trip and took pictures of all these famous people??? Yea, well I got the REAL famous people of NYC... not silly people that you see on TV... Like can anybody tell me whose famous in THIS picture???

But answer me this... why would someone come intoxicated to a movie??? Especially HARRY POTTER??? Crazy crazy crazy people!!! I had to cover my nose and eat lots of popcorn (totally sacrificed) so that I didn't have to smell fermented apple juice :) hehehe...
But seriously...WHY?
Love ya all... more tomorrow!!!

We are talking FINANCES at Real World this week!!!
P.S. I really really liked this post-- Sage had it on his Political blog it makes you think. 545 People by Charlie Reese Here's a quote from it...
"Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them."

Kritta slapped me from behind! FFFF Pics!
I'm leaving on a Jet Plane you guys... and its about FREAKING time!!!
MSM and I are going on Vacation. Kids get to spend time with Grandma, Grandpa, and cousins and we are taking off!
But guess what is happening during that time?
Guess what my BBFF did for me?
Ya'll know Kritta? Sewing and Mom extraordinaire??? She wants to pull me out of my HOMELESS corner... she wants to save me from pimping myself out so to speak.
Remember how I told you that I have been entering all these contests to win a BLOG Makeover?
I've been sitting on my street corner panhandling and Kritta finally felt sorry for me and put money in my cup! Or got me a BLOG MAKEOVER!!! Can you believe that? She didn't do it in front of my face either... she didn't it behind my back! (The best kind of friend if you ask me) My eyes runneth over as I jumped up and down for joy! I was going to be getting a face lift! But the kindness doesn't end there... I get a tummy tuck, microdermabrasion, and boob job... I might not look the same from the OUTSIDE... but I will still be the same on the inside... just looking more like a Victoria Secret model instead of my current state of homelessness, dirty, white trash who has chocolate letter cut outs.
All of this is happening starting this weekend into the next week.
So I will be taking my REAL LIFE vacation AND my Blog cation at the same time.
If I get a chance to update and/or post... ya KNOW I will cause I'm highly dedicated to this blog and don't go anywhere without my lap top. But if you don't hear from me here... you will know why!
But I'll still be on TWITTER!!! Your. Welcome! :)
In the mean time.
My kids are not allowed to get on my computer. They get it dirty and ruin stuff fast... so mine is off limits. We have another one for them... our old one.
So you will understand that I was surprised when I saw this evidence that they don't listen to me!!!

They even involved their friend on the crime!!!
I can't believe they would do that behind my back... it looks like that is happening a lot around these parts.
Well here is some pictures to remember ME by... until we meet again!
Join Candid Carrie's Friday Foto Finish Fiesta!
And THANKS KRITTA... I LUB YOU!!! And I can't wait for Creative Blog Designs to do my major surgery!!!
***I will still be getting your comments on my phone while I'm away... so PLEASE PLEASE comment and give me your funniest random comment to keep me entertained!!! PUH-LEASE!!!
When I get my new makeover I'm going to be starting a MOST FAVORITE COMMENT OF THE WEEK series... ya'll be the stars and YOU WILL love it!!!

BLOG-GONE INSANE-RESPONDER
Shelle is not in right now at least not here--in the post section of blogger writing new posts or pre-posting any posts.
You will find her twittering/facebooking (thank you tweetdeck), reading YOUR blogs and commenting, connecting through comments on Real World Venus vs. Mars comments (such a fun community!)--preparing for new idea of THEME week starting next week with COMPATIBILITY on RWVM, wondering how Sage and Kritta can be alter ego's/same person yet live in two different time zones (read comments below) and READING YOUR BLOGS and COMMENTING.
She might also be doing but can't promise... vacuuming, scrubbing bathroom walls and floors, dusting, laundry, and/or cooking. HAHAHAHAHA--okay you're right, that was to make me look good.
She will be working her full-time job. Getting to photos she has neglected to edit...edited, taking her kids somewhere doing SOMETHING.
Paying attention to her husband, scripture reading, and meditating in prayer.
You may find her via google chat, through email, by leaving more RANDOM THOUGHTS in her comment box so she has something to twitter, or on someone else's blog.
So she has NO TIME to rub two sentences together to make even a remotely funny thought or post for blogger.
She will be back after the holiday but will only be able to show up three times a week for the rest of the summer, but she will show up nonetheless, here, sometime, so please do not de-follow her because she doesn't have time to make VOODOO dolls.
Love,
AKA her Blog-Gone Insane-Responder!!!

Random Tuesday... get your random thoughts out!

I'm joining Random Tuesday by UnMOM. I'm recently new to her blog. But seeing how random comes easy for me. I'm joining in!!! I kinda feel like the new girl in school... anyway...
*Why do people stare at you when you are waiting at the stop light in the Left turn lane and they are turning left heading your direction. It seems like people stare at me, like I've done something to their Mom or loved one or family and they are the Mafia boss or something. Really unnerves me. Yet, I still stare them down and yell, "HA, you looked away first!"
*I still wish upon stars
*I also make a wish when the back of my necklace slides its way down to the front and I have to put it back behind my neck.
*I eat ice cream out of the carton... but I only like soft ice cream in a cone.

*I lied about the judging others by what they have in their grocery carts which brings me to this... do people lie to get people to laugh? And how can that be bad if they do? Not that I do that, I was just giving you an example... :P
Okay... put in your random thought for the day! LUB YOU GUYS, thanks crash for making LUB a universal blog word!!!
OH and Southern Sage is over at RealWorld Venus vs. Mars today talking about a marriage contract he wrote up before him and his bride were married... interesting stuff, go give him your opinion on it!

A Letter that invites Karma...
To anybody that takes glass bottles to sandy beaches/lakes:
Will you please try to help me understand the reasoning of bringing a glass bottle to some place where there is sand?
Because almost with out fail those bottles that don't get thrown away because you are A) to lazy or B) to drunk, will inevitably find a way of breaking!
Then they get pushed down in the sand.
Then some lone person will come along and minding their own business will proceed to dig and play in the sand with their feet, because sand is soft and tickles the foot while the sand is an exfoliate and so you kill two birds with one stone…
Then those lone people come upon BROKEN GLASS, or a child who thinks they found a pretty new toy!
All I can say is, may Karma come around and BITE you in the BUTT!!!
Love,
Lone Person (Hadabada to YOU--you'll understand that if you read the UNWORDS I post daily)
Anybody else find secret weapons in sandy beaches/lakes?
Random thought for the day: If I were to go back to high school and change ONE thing it would be my hair. I would have whacked it off short, well ya know to my chin or something, I think that fits my personality better.
Any Random Thoughts from you guys?

Random Thursday... you in?
People usually do this Random Tuesday thing a ma jig.
And I've never participated. Because who has any random ideas left when you twitter?
Not me I say!
Well... I've decided to make my OWN way and do a Random Thursday post, just because.
*** I think next time when I plan for my kids to be gone for the week, that I plan for my husband to be gone also... that way I can veg and read to my OWN lazy hearts content.
*** On the Flip Side. I have one Organized closet that I will try to keep! Yea for hard working, organizing, hot husbands!
*** I've decided I'm going to tell myself I hate bread. It is to blame for all the extra pounds that surround my perfectly sculpted body. Bread is of the devil, and I mean ANYTHING that remotely involves bread.
*** On the Flip Side. Apples and Grapes are my two favorite main courses. I honestly eat at least 12 apples a week and who KNOWS how many grapes. It helps everything flow in the belly better... I SWEAR!
*** Last food Random... did you know you can get CALLUSES from de-shelling pistachio's? Neither did I. But I have them and now I can de-shell faster than anyone I know.
*** Do you think they have the world's fastest De-sheller of Pistachio's in the Guiness Book of World Records? Someone check that for me and get back to me.
*** When you type out LOL... are you REALLY laughing out loud? I'm not. When I type lol I'm laughing REALLY in my mind. So it should be typed limm (Laughed In My Mind) but when I type LOL in caps... I REALLY laughed out loud--now ya know.
*** The one song I NEVER get sick of and repeat over and over on my IPOD... Come Thou Font-- but THIS version only.
*** I try to show up at Hip Hop right after they've warmed up, but right before they do their ab and push up sequence. I'm horrible, cause when I teach class... I get irritated if people miss the warm up.
Okay enough random for today!
Have a good Thursday!
In comments go ahead and write your random thought for the day! I just might Twitter it, and then you'll be famous! :) Your. Welcome.

GOSH.FREAKING.DANG.IT!
K... I honestly rarely get embarrassed, because when embarrassing things happen to you often you tend to become immune.
It's either that... or come down with a severe case of agoraphobia.
Here's a recent example.
I was at Costco. ON SATURDAY-- when I say it was busy... that is a COMPLETE understatement. I was blessedly alone, no kids to constantly look for as the play hide-n-seek with me.
I got the stuff I had come for and approached the check out line. Had a bit to wait, but it was cool--I'm good with keeping myself entertained, I have my phone and my thoughts, plus I like to people watch. I had noticed the person, the girl, in front of me who was drinking a pop out of fountain cup. It's important you know this fact.
Soon,The Girl, was next in line, then me, then a WHOLE line of other people behind me.
Finally it was my turn. The cashier greeted me and rang me up.
I paid.
Put my Costco and debit cards back in my wallet, put my purse on my shoulder, and proceeded to leave. Completely engrossing myself back into my thoughts and my OWN LITTLE WORLD (there is a reason that is on my header).
But my purse hits something... and then I hear that HORRIBLE sound of a FOUNTAIN cup full of liquid splattering all.over.the.ground.
I froze.
With my back still at the scene that lay behind me... I prayed a silent prayer that the sound and the thing I felt my purse hit had nothing to do with each other.
I slowly turn around... when I say slowly... I mean the world was going at normal pace and I had slowed WAY way way down... turning a centimeter every other minute.
When my eyes hit the HUGE spot of liquid creeping it's way to the grooves and cracks of the floor... all I could think of to say was, "That wasn't my drink!" and then I repeated it 3 times while lifting my hands up in front of me, my fingers battling each other, and my eyes going cross-eyed!
The sound was loud enough that I swear all of Costco was looking my way. Everyone in unison giving me a moment of silence.
Really people... the etiquette on that, I'M SURE, is to pretend you don't see that I just knocked over a drink that some GIRL left on the counter!!!
I swear it wasn't my drink!
Completely at a loss of what to do... I ask if they need me to get towels from the bathroom...
???---see what I mean at completely at a loss? HA!!! I would have needed the whole ROLL and then I'd use another roll to have a WET set of towels so the floor wouldn't be sticky.
But my brain was functioning on humiliated...
They told me it was "okay, ACCIDENTS HAPPEN", and they would take care of it.
I scream in my mind, BUT IT WASN'T MY DRINK... I DIDN'T LEAVE IT THERE!!!
I admit... it wasn't very observant of me NOT to see the drink on the counter... but it WASN'T MINE!!!
GOSH.FREAKING.DANG.IT!!!
That was just Saturday.
I could have a daily blog dedicated to scenarios like that.
I just wonder how I missed the line up in heaven where they were handing out the ALWAYS COOL tickets... ya know those people. The ones that always do and say the right thing... where embarrassing is a word they are unfamiliar with and humiliation is a word they associate with OTHER people?
Knowing me... I was probably caught up in my thoughts and didn't hear them announce which line it was, that happens to me a lot also.
So... did I make you feel better about yourself today? I'm a giver like that.
Your. Welcome.
love,
Shelle
P.S. No they are not THOSE Jeffereson's... hahahaha!

Tweet and Twitter you Twit...
This is one of those therapy sessions for me... I have a problem and so I'm getting it out there.
Guess what... I've found another, itsy bitsy, teeny tiny, obsession.
I blame it on whoever invited me to Twitter. It was a while back... it's been THAT long for me to give it a chance.
At first I just signed up to be nice.
But then I would hit other peoples blogs and read about what they were writing on twitter... and laughing at what goes on in peoples brains these days.
HONESTLY... people are funny.
Take for instance, That Blue Yak, who totally pimps himself out all the time... wrote a post about following him on Twitter... so I did, cause I always follow mindlessly (okay, he's actually pretty funny)... I didn't know someone's brain functioned like that...
or Cameron from Get the Stink Off--very witty that guy, but also... a little crazy in the head, you would know if you follow him on Twitter what I'm talking about... or you can READ HERE about why he is crazy! :)
Sometimes I wonder if those two are the same person.
Mariah and TentCamper got me stuck on some RIDICULOUS spy game... that I still don't know what the HELK I'm doing so I keep trying, and minutes drag into... well you know.
Anyway... these guys are good at twitter.
It's like being a fly on the wall in people's minds... sometimes it's downright scary.
But then you start to realize it's a nice outlet to say what's on your mind and when I say what's on your mind, I mean ANYTHING on your mind... but I'm still just getting my feet wet with it.
I can't stop checking it... I'm a little OVER DEDICATED to it now.
And over dedicated and obsessive people LOVE company. So get TWITTERING right NOW!!!
Would it help if I told you, you could spy on Ashton Kutcher? The Pioneer Woman? Dooce? Jimmy Fallon? Martha Stewart? Ryan Seacrest? Southern Sage? Chelsea Lately? Kim Kardashian?
So... Follow me if you sign up... I'm on there as ShelleBlok. Everybody's doing it! :)
Okay, you GOT ME... I don't WANT help! I just want to spy on you guys. Humor me? (And I need new SPY recruits)
Oh, and go ahead and tell me about any and all teeny tiny obsessions you may have... I'm here for you, since you listened to me, it's the least I can do. (And leave your Twitter name in comments just in case some thinks your worth following! hehehe)
Love,
Shelle
