My Trash Can of Thoughts Friend(s)-- am I the only one?

Do any of you have a good friend over the internet?

And you ONLY know them over the internet?

That's it.

But you are, what you might think of as, really good friends?

Wait, if you're reading this then more than likely you are a blogger?  And even MORE likely you have this kind of "friend"?

Yea, well I have this friend(s) (it may be more than one... just sayin) over the internet... might be YOU, might not be. (You probably can guess if it's you)

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you feel like me sometimes.

I mentally dump so much onto this friend(s). I think of them as somewhat of a trash can for my thoughts. At times I feel so bad because I feel like I may overload them.

I have gotten so use to them being around, that if they are not I kinda feel, well, empty or lost or out of sorts.

I know they actually have lives but being "friends" over the internet kinda makes it seem like they actually LIVE IN the internet.

Does that make sense?

Like logically your brain realizes they have a life, and you read about their life, and you know it's out there, but this friend(s) subconsciously in your mind should always be yours and yours alone. Ya know? Because they are your special mental trash can. And because I haven't actually seen or met them in person I feel like they aren't really real... but the friendship is definitely real! Do you know what I mean? And you just know that if they up and moved right next to you that you would hit it off so well... ya know?

And even after the honeymoon stage of getting to know them online--you still manage to connect in a way that is hard to describe?

And sometimes it's scary to meet these kinds of friend(s) in Real Life because what IF they don't hold up to what you have created for them in your mind? Or what if they meet you and start laughing and think they are being punk'd because YOU don't add up to what they thought of YOU in THEIR minds, and then you lose the one person that was YOUR trash-can-of-thoughts?

Anyone still with me?

*tap* *tap* Anyone out there? Is this thing on?

Anyway--

little button

I need more trash-can-of-thoughts friends (to even out the trash load-because I have many thoughts) and so I thought I'd meet them in REAL LIFE first and THEN make them my "special" online friend, it seems less confusing that way.

Anyone up for the task?

But then again, I wouldn't trade the one(s) I have right now, and the possibility of meeting them is slim to none, so basically if you are up to hear my thoughts at any random time without warning please apply in my comment box by telling me the color of your teeth--that is an important detail.

Love,

Hello friends...So I wrote about you...

Hey over at Real World I'm talking about my friends. Since some of you are considered my friends--yea you! Not you no sorry not you...but yea YOU, you right there...thought you might want to go and check it out! :)

Here's a blurp:

...Even though my close friends and I don't get together as often as we would like, when we DO get together we start right where we left off. Sure we catch up on what we have missed in each other's lives, but then it's back to eating fattening foods, talking about everyone and eveything, and solving all the world's problems, oh and laughing… laughing until we can't breathe! The people that I'm drawn to...someone that can make me laugh guy or girl...the ones that will talk spirtually with me one minute...but then the next minute laughing at one another as we reminisce at how retarded we were when we thought we knew it all...

Dr.'s report at my 3 week check up. I get to wear the freaking brace for at least another three weeks! D@*M my slow healing bones!!! *shakes fist in the air*

***I just like to milk the whole collar bone because I have friends out there... you know who you are...that LOVE for me to mention it! :) hehehehe (pppfffttt hole in your head...my broken collar bone is much worse. LOL)

Much love to you guys,

So I met somebody...

Hey everyone!

See this pic with my daughter...sigh...back in the good ol' days when my collar bone was in one piece??? Those days are gone... I was happy back then, I didn't appreciate the collar bone like I should have, and NOW my collar bone/clavicle modeling is no longer...sigh. HEHEHEHEHE...

If you can't tell or don't know... I'm feeling MUCH better now! MUCH MUCH MUCH better!

I'm not healed. But I can lift my arm to take pictures and I can edit on my computer. Me so happy! :)

So you all have been so great about still coming to my blog and I want you to know that I have some posts up my sleeve so although I still won't be posting obsessively like before... I've some funny things to tell you and I can't keep them to myself!

So I met someone.

I went to Vegas and met someone. My curiosity got the best of me and I took my broken self off alone in our little Honda Accord and drove myself-literally single handed-down to Vegas, not just to meet up with someone, but to also connect with my new LOVE.

If blogs aren't for confessions what ARE they good for?

So here I go... I'm spilling the beans.

On Sunday, November 1st 2009, I, Shelle, drove myself down to Vegas to go watch BULL RIDING (My new found LOVE since I first saw it at the beginning of the year this year-reruns, but I fell in love anyway)!!! That's right... I went down and met up with Jules at IT IS JUST JULES and went to the Finals of the PBR in Vegas!!! You GUYS first let me just tell you Jules is just as fun and outgoing as she is on her blog, plus she was willing to go to watch Bull Riding with me so that means she is pretty much awesome!

When I met up with her she had a gift for me. Peeps...she makes jewelry, and not fuddy duddy jewelry, but really really cute jewelry! Pictured below! :)

We honestly had so much fun.

And the PBR EVENT! You guys I ate it up! I loved every second of it. I sat there and drank in everything and had my little score sheet and whooped and hollered like a professional when they guys rode 8 seconds and gave an appropriate gasp when someone got hurt or got to close to the bull. It's so unpredictable and exciting. So did I tell you I loved it? In fact, I didn't even have the mind to take more pictures than this one:

And thankfully for Jules and her brain we got this one together! Since my collarbone was out of a commission...she took the picture... her arms are good for that. The girl is long and skinny...no lie...sigh, I was envious.

Forgive the quality it's a phone pic!

There were cowboys and wranglers and bulls and clowns and bull fighters and lights and music and...aaahhhh just to fun. I didn't even really talk to anyone around me...if you know me you are surprised huh! I didn't, I just watched. I'm still giddy thinking about it! Anybody ever needs someone to go to an event with... PICK ME!!!

Then I took JULES to Cheesecake Factory and she is such a light weight we couldn't even try the cheesecake, she got full to fast!!! lol! But the conversation was good and easy going like we have been friends for years! We took this picture after eating...again, she took the pic...her arms... her arms... remember?

So I met someone and connected with a new love.

Tell me what you guys have been up to! I'm coming around to visit you on your blogs... but I want to hear the funniest thing you have done since I've been away! :)

Here is how I feel while wearing this figure 8 brace! Just so you all know...

Love,

P.S. You have to go read the hilarious post that Sage wrote about his wife's spending habits over on Real World--HA! It is so funny! I'm not kidding! Go give him some comment love! :)

Forget about BlogHer...this is CrashHer Lunch '09!

Okay people everywhere... Crash's BLOGGER lunch!!!

Can I just tell you how amazing it was! I don't mean to rub it in your faces all who weren't there... no wait, scratch that, I DO mean to rub it in your faces because seriously, ya missed out!

You know that friend or that person you have in your life that you only see maybe once a year but every time you get together with them you feel like you start just where you last left off? That is HOW it felt with these ladies... especially the ones that I knew and have built a relationship with. Some of the ladies were new... I had never met them before but it didn't matter, we all meshed so well and talked and laughed and consoled... it was truly a GREAT experience!

I highly recommend meeting bloggers you have built friendships with you guys... I'm being serious here. I love it because with gmail we have the option to chat with each other or just email back and forth. I love chatting with my girlfriends online... it's almost better than talking on the phone!

Getting off track...

Here is everyone that was at the lunch! Front Row: Funny Farmer, Deb from Cranberry Fries, and Barbalootsuit. Back Row: The Crazy Lady, Julie from YoungBlood, Crash, Nutty Hamster Chic, Kristina P., Val of the South, ME, Brittany, and JillyBean.

K now that I have linked up to them all I will just refer to their names without linking up again...cause I'm lazy, deal with it.

I was RIGHT on time for me... which means I was about 15 minutes late. Pretty much everyone was already there, so I made my grand entrance and Crash barreled me over hugging me and jumping up and down. I loved her instantly! :)

Kristina P had her famous snuggie that was bedazzled by Jillybean so of course I had to try it on, I even walked the catwalk in Olive Garden showing it off. It sort of felt like a hospital dress, not going to lie. Crash had me throwin up her Hawaiian gang signs... like, I'm SO tough.

See in the corner there... that's Deb trying to get out of the pic... hahaha... we got ya Debbie!!! :) It was so good to meet you and talk with you!

Barb... freakin cute as all get out had her turn in the snuggie also... but I took the picture to show off her famous red shoes!

But the first one to put on the snuggie was, of course, the person of Honor who got us all together... Crash herself, co-habitating it with Kristina P.

So then I needed a picture of the famous Kristina P. If you don't read her, you should. She is just as funny and cute and easy to talk to as she seems on her blog. She's hilarious and fun and look at her eyes people, they are MORE gorgeous in person.

Here is ME, Crash, and NHC. NHC I had already met at a lunch down where I live...but she had done something new with her hair and she looked SO great! She is one of those people that is magnetic. She laughs and listens and just makes you feel important. She pretty much awesome.
Barb is honestly So fun to talk with. She is bright and yet could hang out and have a conversation with idiot me...she's amazing I tell ya! I don't understand why she is single, but it HAS to be because she's picky... no lie, she to beautiful and smart to not have guys knocking down her door. And she is little and petite...take my word for it... GUYS she's single, snatch her because she's a catch. Barb be warned... I LOVE setting people up! :)

Okay... Val of the South is SOOOOOO fun! She walked in while we were all seated and she had wrapped up in a hand towel WARM bread. She had made home made bread for Crash! And Freezer Jam! I bonded with her instantly! SHe is bubbly and happy and OH SO witty! She had me laughing the whole time we got to talk or just listening to her talk... she just has that special characteristic that you can't explain but that you are definitely thankful you got to partake of it, ya know?
AAAAHHHH YoungBlood...Julie. She is definitely my partner in crime. Her and I are SOOOO alike in personality, well to me anyway. We both are open about what we talk about and we both hit our prime's with something that is shhhhhh hush, hush... She also admits to being a neglectful parent... I'm in the closet, but she is helping me out with her regular friday posts on her blog about neglectful parenting! :)

Had to end with this picture of doing the Nutty Hamster Chic face. I heart this pic so much. These ladies were really just a blast!

But I wanted to finish with Crash. She IS someone that draws you in... her personality is Bright and Beautiful. Her smile reaches all the way to her eyes and you can't help yourself but be happy and smile back at her. She is caring and made sure everyone felt included. She bought us little caramacs and key chains... each one of us. She also brought little snacks that are her favorite but that Barb deemed styrofoam... it was funny--HA... it explained what it looked like so well! I had TWO Tim Tams, they are like twix bars, and they were delicious! We didn't slam them though. She is just a remarkable person and I am so thankful that she is my friend and a part of my life!

I guess I should officially thank Funny Farmer, who is witty herself, she wrote the post that lead me to Crash...

Thanks everyone for such a great lunch. I didn't even take my good camera...so all my pictures are grainy and yucky... I apologize in advance.

So who wants to meet??? It's my new addiction! :)

Love,

They went from E-BFF's to BFF's in Real Life!!!

Guess what guys... don't be jealous and DON'T play hate.

but...

Guess who I got to meet and go to lunch with???

April, T.. and Nutty Hamster Chick (NHC) aka Pat...

I saw April right as I walked in and straight way gave her a hug.

We apparently both arrived last. Pat and T. were already sitting and had ordered BOTTOMLESS chips... YUM! :)

It was ENDLESS talking.  WE talked and talked and talked... laughed more.

Even though Pat beat me out of the WICKED ticket that April gave-away on her site... I still loved her... wanted to hate her :) (not really... but couldn't, she was to nice and to funny!

T. kept throwing food at me and dropping my fork on the ground :) hehe but she kept the conversation lively for sure!  April's smile is as gorgeous as it looks in picture... and Pat's laugh is addicting.

At one point, while we all were taking pictures with our camera's (because we are Professional Bloggers like that) Pat asked me to see one of the pictures I had taken... but I thought she was asking to see the big huge GAP in my teeth so I OPENED wide... and Pat was like, "eh... no can I see the picture" and I just busted up laughing cause I felt like a complete idiot!!!  April laughed at me... and then T. and Pat...  Leave it to me right?

I'm up for that ANY time girls!!!

So the rest of you who's up for the next time, rule is you have to choose the place!!!

Love,

Shelle

P.S.  Thank you April... thank you thank you... you know what for! :)
