I got worked and other stuff...

We had the greatest time up north hanging out with cousins for my son's birthday. I loved that he would rather have a birthday party with family than one with friends... is that weird of me? I didn't make him choose that, he wanted it... ftr.

But one thing, we had his birthday at this place where there is a bunch of trampoline's. It's called Jump on It. It's a crazy fun place for kids. Only thing is, they nickle and dime you, like any thing else.

Except I hate falling for it, and fall for it I DID. We had family coming in from an hour and a half away to spend about that same amount of time with us for DCar's birthday (which we were SOOOO appreciative). I thought I could do his party cheaper if I paid per person rather than rent the party room and get their package deal. So the original plan was to go eat after we jumped at the place... ya know, like grab $5.00 pizza at Little Caesars. Only, the nearest pizza place wasn't so near and I didn't want to make those family that had come a distance, travel any more. I found out that we couldn't BRING IN outside food (of course), but that they DID have a pizza place they ordered through and we could get pizza that way--(how kind of them right? *rolls eyes*).

It was $14.00 per pizza. I ordered three. I figured at 14.00 dollars these pizza's were going to be pretty awesome and from a pretty classy place right?

Wrong, as we see the 5 BUCK PIZZA guy walk in with my three pizza's he was delivering.

Yea, so I got worked. But that was the only downer of the whole weekend... and my boy is worth it... I think ;)

I jumped right back into work and have been editing like a mad lady for my latest photo shoot... here's a preview--I've taken this girl before when she was just barely walking, I love REPEAT customers, and whom I consider friends. It's soooo good to see how these children grow up! I know, cliche, but oh so true! :)

What did you guys do this weekend? And would you have said something to the Owners of the Jump On It about the pizza... like... Where's my 9 bucks per pizza you pretty much stole from me?

Hacked by MSM and my traditional Birthday post.

Hi Shelle's friends, it's me, Mountain Sport Man, Shelle's better half.

I started a "tradition", last year, to hack into my wife's blog and give her one day where I tell her how incredible I think she is, and hot. If you know my wife at all, anything I do like that can't be done just once, no... she'll expect it now, and I still have no idea how to upload a picture and I'm not going to spend time trying, I could probably figure it out, but that would go above and beyond the call of duty.

It's the day she wants everyone to know about but tells no one, except for me, over and over and over again in different ways so I don't forget. She knows well, I'll forget otherwise, not because it's not important (believe me, I've tried to get her to understand this) but because I'm just forgetful.

But she's worth remembering and so is her birthday, which is today, in case you haven't caught onto that yet.

We were at that 80's party she wrote about just underneath this post and they played a game where you have to try and know things about your spouse that you should know or remember, I really suck at those games, but at parties I humor people. One of the questions for her was, what physical attribute do you think your husband loves most about you. As the answers came from the other wives they were either the back end (which is a thing to behold) or the two beautiful lady bumps in the front. Believe me when I say, I love those things about my wife also, but they aren't the things on her physically that I love the most. Her answer was her lips. She was close, but the thing I love most about my wife, physically, is her dimples. Then her lips. Then her eyes. Spend 10 minutes with my wife and I dare you to tell me differently. They are the final touch to the flawed masterpiece that my wife is.

Yes I said flawed.

My wife has many many flaws all of which I love and love to hate. Without them, she wouldn't be her, and I love HER.

So Shelle, having spent 13 birthdays with you since knowing you, I can say without hesitation and even though it sounds cliche, that I love you more now than when you first seduced me into making out with you (ha-she'll love that one). You're a wonderful mother, you're smart, beautiful, make others happy, and someone I'm lucky enough to call mine. My wish for you is if you could only see yourself through my eyes, then you would never doubt your importance or beauty from the inside out.

Happy Birthday Babe.

ps I think you're hooooootttt.

My Weekend and cell phone pics

PBR was a blast! For the second year in a row I have attended and been so sad that I didn't buy a ticket for more than one night.

My husband and I had SO much fun! Seriously.

We went down earlier in the day and stopped at the Premium Outlets. Usually my hubs and I argue when we do this kind of stuff because I tell him how and where to drive and he tells me to mind my own business and it just keeps going on and on. But ever since we bought our GPS thingy and use the Australian male accent... it has saved our marriage... no seriously. We just type in the address and Mr. Hot Australian Accent takes us right to our destination.

Back to my man's birthday.

We went to the Premium Outlets. My plan was to take him to get his Nike Shocks at the Nike Outlet, but he wasn't feeling good, yet... I was in a shopping mood. So, I got stuff, and he well didn't "feel like it". I told him that shopping always makes me feel better, but he didn't seem to go for that.

Just as we were leaving the Outlet mall he started feeling better and we headed to the PBR Event.

We sat by guys just out of high school, I swear, but they were super friendly and offered to buy us Beer and Peanuts. They kept talking, and drinking, and chewing (as in tobacco), and talking. It was all a smelly combination... but it didn't take away from the event. They gave respect when the bulls were riding--and man oh man we saw some great action from the Bull Riders, Bull Fighters, and the hot little girl holding up the sign that said, "Bring the Noise".

We had such a good time I didn't think to pull out the camera until the end. So here is what I got of that night.

This is Austin Meier, who was leading overall so was last to ride.  Which tells you when I pulled out my camera after I put it away when we first got there!  Cell phone pic, I apologize

This is us in the car after the PBR Event, cause I'm an idiot! Sorry it's a cell phone pic.

Today my daughter had my Mom take pics of her and my niece with her camera. My camera takes a bit to take the picture-plus my Mom is kinda phone handicapped. I thought they were funny because the first picture my daughter was posing... something I have trained her to do since she could smile on cue. But then the next picture took so long to take they have that-tired smile on both her and my niece, I don't know why, but that always makes me laugh.

How was your guys' weekend? How about them Rangers? Nascar? What else was this weekend?

Love,

One of my exceptions.

Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man. ~Rabindranath Tagore

There are many things I am thankful for.

But very few I am thankful for everyday-with 4 exceptions--

She is one of those exceptions.

Happy Birthday Girl. We love ya!

Happy Birthday Shelle-by her blogger impaired husband

I'm taking over Shelle's blog for today. You won't get any pictures because I don't know how to do this. I'm lucky I'm on the right blog, well I hope I am anyway.

See Shelle told me that she didn't want anyone to know it was her birthday. She said after the age of 30 that she was done having birthday's.

If you know my wife you will know that she is numero UNO at reverse psychology.

Most years I take her for her word (then I'm out on the couch for not reading her mind! And then I get woken up an hour later with her pissed and dragging me back to bed because she can't sleep alone-which she blames on me) but this year, I'm on to her...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!!!

(Okay she may really kill me for this.)

I could write a list of 31 reasons why anyone would be lucky to have her.

But truth be told, she is my best kept secret and I'd like to keep it that way (and someone might confuse me with being sensitive).

Anyone that has talked to her and seen her pictures or video's she has done on this blog will know already how lucky I am.

So I'll just end this by saying,

"I Gotcha Baby! Happy Birthday"

(My pillow and blanket are already on the couch).

Sincererly,

Your-stuck-with-me-forever-Husband aka MountainSport Man

Oh and if you want you can wish her a Happy Birthday -- she's a recovering attention whore. I let her indulge once a year on her birthday.

PeePs turns 4 and twittering your random comments! Fx4!

K-- Can I just say, Twittering your Random Thoughts yesterday was SO much FUN!!!

You guys are freaking hilarious! OH I LUBBED IT!

So I've decided that if you feel the need to say something random, PLEASE do it in my comment box, but be forewarned, I MIGHT Twitter it! :)

My daughter turned 4... FOUR people! That means NO MORE BABY... she's a little girl.

Here's highlights of her Birthday cause I KNOW you're on pins and needles to see what outfit she wore for her BIG party and her BIG day... drum roll....

That's right... her SWIMMING SUIT! Surprise surprise!!! Here are some of the presents she got!

Sleep wear...
Princess toys, that will be lost within the week...

And the ONE Thing she kept asking for, "A DORA that can go under the water MOM!"

At WalMart the NIGHT before her Birthday... guess who scored the last MERMAID Dora in the store! That's RIGHT ... ME!

This is her and cousin AFTER she opened presents. That's right folks, she CHANGED her swimming suit... again!

I also scored this cake order at WalMart, the NIGHT before her birthday, AND the bakery was suppose to be CLOSED. It's funny what running around nekked chanting, "I need a cake, I need a cake" will do for ya. Well I wouldn't know (we just happened to snag a worker as they walked by and they helped us), but that WOULD be funny.

I was actually REALLY impressed, not gonna lie.

That's cupcake under there guys. It's BRILLIANCE I tell ya. A CUP CAKE CAKE! AND it's shaped in a Princess crown, AND, It's got her 3 favorite princesses, AND it tasted delicious! (this was before I decided I hated bread, FYI)

She pretty much thought we rocked!

And when we were driving home from bowling there were fireworks going on for some festival the city was having. I turned around and said to PeePs, "Look PeePs! Look what Daddy did for ya! He got them to do fireworks on your BIRTHDAY!"

She got the biggest smile and then a shy little batting-her-eyelashes look and said,"Thank you Daddy!" little giggle.

Yea, he owes me for that one.

Love,

Now check out who else is playing Friday Foto Finish Fiesta!!!

Lil' Sis

My best friends are my sisters. I love them...even when we fight, which is hardly ever. They also suck...because they both never had AWKWARD stages growing up...like never. They both were cute from the time they were born. See I have TONS of horrible, embarrassing, ugly growing up stage pictures...they just don't. They suck. But I love them. Ya get it?

We are almost NEVER like this. We are always laughing when we are together. They allow me to take center stage, of course, because making people laugh at me is one of my greatest qualities...at least that is what my therapist tells me to tell myself. :)

Yea more like this...Sorry, Dance Masta for squishing your face on this shot...I just LOVE ya so much! :)

Here's the rest of my sisters...the two are my blood...the other two are IL's...but I love them to.

The only request I had of my brothers was to marry someone who wasn't cuter or prettier than I am...they both failed. Not only are they pretty on the outside...but they also have freakin' great personalities.  They suck also...but I love them also...you still with me?

Well today isn't really about THAT...today is about my Lil' Sis.  My soon to be little mommy sis.  Who just had a birthday.  And because I didn't have my back up picture CD to show you other pics of her...I had to use what I had in my Picasa Web Album...hence, the three pics above.

Lil' Sis...is one of the GREATEST Aunts around. My kids adore her. She is one of those Aunts that takes them swimming and buys stuff for them...and they just think she is the shiz. She is going to be a GREAT mom! No, an INCREDIBLE MOM :)

One of the things I love most about her... is she lets me take pics of her to practice my photography. I envy her green eyes and super nova eye lashes...so I'm always focusing on her eyes!!!

Oh and I LOVE her profile...I'm always saying..."Hey turn your face to the Left..." and then I'll snap her picture...She just has that cute pert nose...I envy that also...sigh.

We hang out...and she doesn't care to be dumb and just do whatever... she is always up for anything.

We talk for hours about whatever...and I honestly don't know what I would do without her being a big part of my life. She is a big example to me with just being who she is. She is honest to a fault and has one of the biggest hearts I know of.

So Lil Sis...I love you. Happy Freaking Birthday!

Now go join others in Friday Foto Finish Fiesta!

And Please eat all your BOILED eggs that you color and don't hide them SO well they won't be found...they leave a terrible smell after a couple of days...I'm just saying...learn from other people's mistakes!

HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND!!!

Love,

Shelle

He's SEVEN...

DCar is 7 years old.

The kid is a boy...and everyday he gets closer and closer to being a *shudder* man.

My MIL always says, "Oh they are so cute when their young...then they grow up and become a (insert disgusted face here) MAN."

I would smile and nod like I knew what she was talking about...but I couldn't imagine it. Not MY little guy. Not the one that wants me when he's scraped his knee or holds my hand and looks up to me with his ENORMOUS blue eyes and says, "Mom you are SO pretty!"

No...I couldn't wrap my head around him actually growing up.

Well a few weeks ago he turned 7. S-E-V-E-N.

Remember I'm having a hard time with turning 30. He's seven guys. He might as well be doing donut holes in his old pick up truck with is hormonal teenage thrill seeking friends. He seems that old to me.

He completely gets himself off to school. He's responsible enough to come home and do his homework and make sure his room is clean so he can play. No one FORCES him to...he just does it, when I'm not there.

He has an old soul I think. He's chill, he's sensitive, and he's super funny. He throws out witty comments like he's been doing it for a career...

We threw him a party. We asked him if he would like a Mom/Dad Date this year again or a party with his friends. He chose friends...it's all beginning...soon we will be wondering when the last time we saw his face was.

This is his old girlfriend from Kindergarten!

PeePs LOVING that she could come with us! She kept the girl happy during the party! :)

My husband tends to avoid signs like these...or thinks they don't apply to him! :)

And after it was over he said, "Mom and Dad, thanks for my party, you are the GREATEST parents ever!" See how smart he is...he butters us up...he KNOWS already that words like that melt our hearts and gets him whatever he wants.

Today...for the first time since he was 2 years old I heard him SCREAM in pain! I dropped everything and ran outside because I knew from that sound something was wrong. My kid hardly EVER shows pain...he will laugh before he cries.

But today...while roughing around on the trampoline(his friends like to beat each other up, wrestle/grapple, and play WWF) he fell in the hole-with-springs-missing-that-we-need-to-repair-before-some-gets-hurts and rammed his face right into the pole bar with the missing spring and his VAMPIRE tooth speared his lip. IT is a pretty big gaping hole.

After a good cry and a few deep breaths he was calm and almost asleep with the ice pack on his lip.

When he woke up MSM and I informed him that him and his friends won't be allowed to play on the tramp because we can't afford for something like what happened to him happen to his friends...we don't want to get sued.

His eyes opened wide and he said, "My lip will grow back...I don't even feel any pain anymore."

He's definitely growing up. He doesn't even want me to hold him and purr in his ear that everything is okay...he tells ME it is all right. *sigh*

I saved you from viewing the picture...because it's gross...

DCar: I love you big guy. Sorry you got hurt today. You are happy you are older...I am happy for you. But I want you to know that I'll always remember you with your BIG adoring eyes, smiling at me while you squeeze my hand three times, silently telling me you love me. Just don't ever grow out of that!

Love,

Shelle
