Camping last weekend, like I said was a blast! They have this cute pond down the road from the main camping area. At that pond they have a storage full of kayak's and Foot Paddle boats...seriously SO cute and REALLY fun for the kids...
Well at least for the kids that ACTUALLY like to get wet!
When I get down to the pond with everybody else I found my little one PeePs sitting under the covered gazebo eating twizzlers with her Grandpa! They weren't even HER Grandpa's twizzlers they were somebody ELSE'S Grandpa's twizzlers (since we were there with EXTENDED family!)
So I am picking THIS photo as my favorite photo for friday to participate in Candid Carrie's FRIDAY FOTO FINISH FIESTA!

It's not only because it is a picture of My FAVORITE husband (because I have many), with my Favorite Daughter (because I have a lot of those too), but it is because this is my husband explained in words...my daughter didn't want to get wet but wanted to get out there and join in on all the fun...so he obliges her...and then makes sure she pulls her wait! No FREE rides with MountainSport Man. :)

I'm sitting there enjoying watching everyone Kayaking and Paddle Boating when all of a sudden I hear MountainSport Man yell, "Shelle take a picture of that!"
I look over...

and to my horror PeePs is standing there, not squatting people, STANDING there letting a stream of pee from HER flow into the lake! I was so in shock I didn't get my camera up in time to GET THE OFFENDING STREAM OF PEE in the picture...but this is her RIGHT AFTER! So this one WOULD have qualified as my favorite photo...if the pee stream would have been in it--I'm going to have to have THAT talk...the one where you give her the proper etiquette of peeing in a bed of water...SQUAT so that people don't NOTICE you are peeing...
Oh and my husband didn't have to YELL it...he could have had more tact, but maybe he was just as in shock as I was!lol!

Hey, cute blog! You have some great pictures on here!
Aleisha said that she saw me on your blog! FUNNY! Isn't that picture awesome! :)
Peeing in lakes. What fun!
My girls have learned to pull the croch of their swim suit over so they don't have to take the suit down. That's a pretty funny thing to witness.
I can't believe there is lake peeing guidelines, where did you get the handbook? On the way into the camping area?
Thanks for playing, I don't know which photo I like more, the top or the bottom with the story attached. They are both great!
Okay, I LOVE the phirst photo because it's an amazing capture.
But, the second? It's awesome because peeing standing up is almost like starting a revolution. What out that girl is going to move mountains:)
That is so funny. If I hadn't read the story I would've thought she was looking at a frog or something.
Too cute, found you from Carrie's fiesta today! Love your top banner! I will be back for sure!
That's too funny! That's what I would be saying....at least sit down so we don't all see you do it! That way we can pretend like were not swimming in pee!
Annalee-Yea! I'm so glad you found my blog! I love that! I think I read between the lines there...did you say something like we should get together for dinner sometime? ahhh...thought so...YES we should!
Amanda-
lol! That is hilarious...PeePs would think that was the best thing next to ice cream...she hates that DCar gets to pee standing up and she doesn't! lol!
Candid Carrie- thanks SO much for having such a creative idea! I promise to participate more!
Kandace- You don't have to tell me twice...that girl has been a "watch out" sort of personality from the get go!
Lori--Maybe she WAS looking at a frog and tried to pee on it? One never knows with PeePs!
Kristin-please do come back...I can't wait to visit your blog! Oh and flood me with comments because I LOVE them! :)
Brook and Dus--Wait tell your daughter does it...maybe you should have the TALK before you take her to the lake after she is potty trained! loL!
Peeing in the lake, no big deal, but that adorable swimsuit is to die for! I am so, all about fashion!
So cute! Had me laughing!
I love your blog...just found it because you found me (thanks Carrie)!
I'll will be back for more.
By the way...love your banner on the top...is that you holding the camera! Love it!!!
i think it's the most funny that your husband yelled to you as well.
my family probably would have yelled something like, "jen - take a picture of that and then blog about it..."
(they really think they are good at coming up with blog topics for me...um...isn't that why i have a blog?? so that i can write about the things that i want)
oops...sorry now i'm writing all over your blog. i'm outta here.
Thanks for leaving me a comment, I to love to get them.
The first photo is so sweet.
The second is hysterical with the story. I think she and my daughter might have a similar personality, well I'm not sure on that yet so I will have to read more to find out. Anyway, you might find my post before today's quit funny. It's the one titled hole "HOLE". Check it out if you have some time.
thats funny. everyone pees in lakes!!! your raising her right!
OK, I was a swimmer and worked at a pool for 9 years. 1. You squat all the way in the water and strike up a conversation with someone so they don't realize it is you warming up the water. 2. Every swimmer has done it. It is gross, but remember chlorine kills almost everything (and I used to be in control of that when I worked at said pool). Your not a true swimmer until you do a flip turn into your well you know.
Pulling over the crotch of the suit is also very helpful when it is wet. Just make sure it all gets put back in place. Embarassing things can happen if not. And yes, I do know from experience.
How cute! Boys I'm sure you know are really disgusting in this area. I am never shocked to hear what they have peed on anymore. Thanks for stopping by today! Don't you love Carrie?
Funny RUGRAT'S!
My son and I would have fun when he was little and we would say...
Eli(son)...Mom can I play on the freeway today?
Mom(me)...No not today because it will be too messy when you get hit by a car and I'm too busy today, some other day.
Eli...Ok
funny girl!
My daughters have that same swimming suit!!
i love this story
this is just too cute
Those are great pictures!!! It looks like you had SO MUCH FUN!!!! and I think everyone has Peed in a Lake :) ha ha!!!
Very Cute post!
Shelle... that is so cute that she was peeing!! What a fun vacation it sounds like you had! :) Okay, I haven't spent much time looking at blogs lately, but you are getting soo good at all this picture taking! I hardly have my camera out these days, which is so sad! You have inspired me :)
Let's go to lunch soon!! Like next week!
That is SO adorable. That picture is perfect, but you're right, it would be better if you could see the pee stream!
So much funnier when girls do it. for some reason I almost expect it from my son!

Great pictures, cute family. What's a little pee between friends and family. Be thankful she did not pull her bathing suit down first. LOL
Was this her first nature pee?
I used to know a little girl that after peeing in the woods, would insist that you shake the pee off from her...since she couldn't wipe.
